I have a love-hate relationship with summer. I put what I love and hate about summer into words so I can embrace all those things this summer.
I have two diaper bags. Melobaby Melotote and Anne Madeline Diaper Backpack. I find that diaper bags are more useful counterparts of regular bags.
They are stylish.
When I tell someone I use a diaper bag as my purse when they haven’t seen it, they say, “But diaper bags aren’t cute!” There is this strange preconceived notion that diaper bags have to be ugly. Who says you have to give up style just because you have a baby? A lot of parents like to be stylish. Diaper bags these days come in various styles and many of them look just as good as any other bags.
They are roomy and have lots of pockets.
Babies require a lot of things. Diapers, obviously, and bottles, wipes, Diaper bags must accomodate all those things. Not only that, they have to be structured in a way that allows parents to organize everything so they can be easily accesed in a pinch. This applies to non-baby related stuff, too. If you’re like me and like to carry everything you may or may not possibly need, this is a major reason why you’d want a diaper bag.
June was a great month for me. I found lots of exciting new things. I started doing things that made me happy. So here are my June favorites.
Lush Solid Perfume Sikkim Girls
Sikkim Girls is a warm and exotic floral scent with the veiled allure of jasmine. We capture the exotic heat of Darjeeling, India in clouds of tuberose and frangipani along with the overt sensuality of jasmine, creating a subtly seductive fragrance with a hint of ‘come hither’. If you love sensual, alluring floral fragrances, this is the one for you.
The scent is very smooth and deep and rich floral. It is heavier than light so I think it’s more suitable for fall than summer but I wear it now anyway because I love it very much. I prefer solid perfumes because I don’t like spraying things.
Aromatica Tinted Sunscreen
I don’t use it a primary sunscreen because I like to apply a lot of it and this is tinted so I can’t use too much. However I love having a good extra layer of protection that can double as foundation. It makes my face brighter without making my face look unnaturally light.
Yves Saint Laurent Verni A Levre #8
It is a bright orange color perfect for summer. Its texture is so jelly-like in a good way, not in a hair stuck to your lips kind of bad way.
Mala Xiang Guo
Mala xiang guo is mouth-numbingly spicy stir fry. It is so yummy and I am obsessed. I love spices but mala is on another level. It is very hot so it’s not for everyone and it is definitely an acquired taste but I’m hooked.
I never thought I’d see Riri and Awkwafina in the same film. AND it has Anne Hathaway and Cate Blanchett AND Sarah Paulson in it? There is no way I wouldn’t love this movie. It kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time.
I’ve been braless for a very long time. But when I got an office job, I was thrilled to have found employment, but I also dreaded it because I’d probably have to wear a bra almost every work day. And there my quest for a comfortable bra began.

Uniqlo Beauty Soft Bra
The Uniqlo Beauty Soft Bra doesn’t have any wires or clasps that press your skin, and the band is wide and stretchy, so it wraps your rib cage comfortably without strangling you. Sure, it’s not the cutest looking bra; that’s not what this bra is for. It provides maximum comfort; that is what it’s designed for. Looks really aren’t my concern as no one other than myself is going to see this bra.
It comes in 3 sizes, S, M, and L. Since the band is stretchy and the cups are soft and not wired, (they are closer to pads than cups for that reason) they don’t need to have varied sizes like regular bras. Size S fit me nicely. My breasts are very small. I just need my bra to cover my nipples (I found nipple patches to be even more annoying than bras) and this is good for that. I can’t speak for support for bigger breasts, but if you can comfortably be braless without support from bra, Uniqlo Beauty Soft Bra would be a good choice for your comfort.
The beige color was a good match for my skin but probably not for those with darker skin tone. Uniqlo is a Japanese brand, so their products are mostly made for East Asian people. It comes in several different colors, such as light pink, black, and khaki. It also comes in the beautiful baby blue color but I only saw them in stores and not on the website.
